Academic violations are behaviors that include, but are not limited to, cheating, plagiarism, or other academic misconduct. General classroom misbehavior is considered a non-academic violation.
Report an Honor Code Violation
Faculty, staff, students, and guests are encouraged to use the online referral form to report behavior that they perceive as concerning, worrisome, or threatening. These behaviors can include mention of harm to self or others, substance use, disordered eating, emotional distress, unusual behavior, grieving student, and many more. If you are ever concerned about someone’s health, well-being, or safety, please submit a report to the Behavioral Intervention Team.

The College reviews reports of bias-related events, incidents, behavior or actions and supports restorative and educational responses to address the individual, collective, and institutional impacts. Categories of prejudice include: disability, ethnicity, national origin, race, religion.

Code of Conduct violations are behaviors that include, but are not limited to: alcohol, disorderly conduct, drugs, hazing, harassment, physical violence, or other violations of College policies, regulations, or rules.

Interpersonal violence includes dating violence, domestic violence, sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, or stalking behaviors. The Title IX Team works to address interpersonal violence concerns.

Goldey-Beacom College is an educational institution committed to maintaining an environment that allows students to benefit fully from the learning experience and to fully understand the negative consequences of the illicit use of alcohol and drugs in their lives. All students, staff, and faculty are part of this learning environment and need to understand the College’s expectations regarding alcohol and drug use. As part of this commitment, we have established the Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Program (DAAPP) policy. This document serves as a guide for understanding our approach to preventing substance abuse within our community and upholding the well-being of our Bolt family.

Drug & Alcohol Abuse Prevention Program policy
The Annual Security & Fire Safety Report (ASFSR) contains information on campus security as well as personal and fire safety, including crime-reporting policies and other important campus security matters. It also contains statistics for the three previous calendar years on reported crimes that occurred on campus. A hard copy of the ASFSR, which includes the Alcohol and Drug Policy, is available in the College’s Student Affairs Office.
Reports for the most recent reporting year are available no later than October 1 of each year. You may also review the most recent Fire Log or Crime Log (showing incidents for the previous 60 days) by contacting the Student Affairs Office and making an appointment during normal business hours. These documents are available for public inspection.
2023 Annual Security & Fire Safety Report
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 provides that: “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.” 20 U.S.C. § 1681 and 34 C.F.R. Part 106 (1972).
Goldey-Beacom College is committed to protecting the rights and dignity of all students, faculty and staff, and seeks to maintain a safe environment that is free from all forms of assault, harassment and discrimination. Any form of sexual misconduct, harassment or discrimination will not be tolerated by the College and any reports of such will be reviewed and adjudicated as detailed in the Sexual Misconduct and Sex-Based Discrimination Policy. Title IX prohibits discrimination based on the gender and/or sex of students and employees of educational institutions. Title IX prohibits sexual misconduct, gender discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, and other gender- or sex- based behaviors. Sexual misconduct includes sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence and stalking.
