Student Accounts Representative (FT)

Goldey-Beacom College is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Student Accounts Representative to join our team! This full-time position plays a vital role in supporting students and their families by managing tuition payments, third-party billing, refunds, and other student account matters.

As a key member of our Business Affairs team, you will handle a variety of accounts receivable functions, requiring a strong understanding of financial systems, college policies, and regulations. Given the sensitive nature of financial information, confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism are essential in this role.

Department: Business Office

Key Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Assist the department in the billing and collections of student account receivables.
  • Act as intermediary with collection agency regarding past due student accounts.
  • Determine accounts ready for collection. Prepare and submit files for outside collections. Maintain communication with collection agencies.
  • Keep abreast of any changes in federal and state law regarding student loans and collections through research, newsletters, conferences, etc.
  • Participate in College-wide student outreach initiatives, including registration week, new student orientation, and others as assigned.
  • Handle student account related inquiries on all levels.
  • Provide excellent customer service and possess problem resolution skills.
  • Participate in interactive, on-site meetings during normal business hours.
  • Process third-party billing, including, preparation and posting of invoices, reviewing student accounts for payments, conducting follow-up on outstanding invoices.
  • Monitor for timely payment of student and vendor accounts.
  • Responsible for counting money, accurately handling financial transactions, issuing receipts, and conducting payment reconciliation.
  • Analyze student accounts for balances, unapplied payments, financial aid awards etc.
  • Proactively contact students by phone, email, text, etc., to encourage them to create a means of paying their bills

Hours per Week: 37.5 – The holder of this position will be required to work on campus.

Maintenance Custodian

Summary: Goldey-Beacom College Facilities Department is currently accepting applications for a Full-time Maintenance Custodian.   The holder of this position will support the Lead Custodian during assigned shifts.

Key Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Disinfecting of classroom chairs, desks white boards and other classroom furniture to ensure a healthy learning environment
  • Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms in accordance with established practices and procedures
  • Sweeping, mopping, and/or vacuuming hallways and stairways, emptying and cleaning ash trays and cigarette receptacles, cleaning windows, and wiping down walls
  • During inclement weather, candidate must be able to report to campus to clear walkways of snow and clean up during snowstorms.

Hours per Week: 37.5; evenings and weekend coverage will be required.
