Goldey-Beacom College Promotes Mannering to Vice President of Finance/CFO

Wilmington, DE – The Goldey-Beacom College (GBC) President and Board of Trustees are pleased to announce the promotion of Susan (Sue) M. Mannering to Vice President for Finance/Chief Financial Officer.

Previously Mannering held the titles of Assistant Vice President for Financial Services and Human Resources as well as the Executive Director of Finance and Human Resources. Mannering, also a 1996, 1998 and 2001 GBC alumna, has been with the College for 28 years. During this time, she has assumed increased responsibilities, which include operational responsibility for the business office, financial aid, the campus store, human resources and the communications center.

With her new role solely focusing on the financial aspects of the College, in just a few short months she has already launched a new budget process and executed careful budget management strategies.  Through effective financial stewardship and collaboration with the College’s leadership team and other key employees, the College continues to be financially sound.

“Sue Mannering has been a vital part of the College’s financial success for all of her 28 years at Goldey-Beacom,” said Dr. Colleen Perry Keith, president of GBC. “Promoting her into this position was a natural extension for her career, but more importantly, it assured that the College would have a qualified professional with institutional memory and the right experience to lead our financial operations into the future.”

Mannering holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and an MBA degree in Financial Management, both from Goldey-Beacom College. In addition, she also maintains the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) credentials.  She resides in Smyrna, DE along with her husband Mark and three sons.
