Goldey-Beacom College Announces New Trustee Erika L. Jorgensen

Wilmington, DE – Goldey-Beacom College (GBC) is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Erika L. Jorgensen as a new member of its Board of Trustees.

“Education has always played an important role in my life, and I was really excited about the opportunity to join the board of trustees at GBC,” said Jorgensen. She continued, “The higher education landscape is changing, and I hope to be able to add some business and leadership experience to the already esteemed board in order to keep GBC relevant and focused on what students need in order to be successful after graduation.”

Jorgensen is a managing director at JPMorgan Chase where she has grown her career for the past 18 years. She works within operations for the Chase Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) line of business, leading the Business Resiliency Planning and Oversight team. In this role, her focus is on ensuring the firm is in the best position to continue servicing its millions of customers during a disruption like a severe weather or cyber event. She has also led teams in regulatory operations, focused on communications and translation services, as well as marketing execution, helping launch new products for the credit card business and supporting their marketing and servicing campaigns to existing cardholders.

Jorgensen serves on the JPMorgan Chase Women on the Move Leadership team in the Mid-Atlantic Chapter, helping foster an internal network where women at all levels within the firm can access tools and resources to develop and advance within their careers. She is also a Certified Administrative Official for USA Swimming and volunteers many weekends in support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware swim program.

She earned a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Delaware. She resides in Middletown with her husband (Rob), two children (Annika and Lars) and her Rottweiler (Ellie).
